๐ŸŽฎ Welcome 2 xX_FragMaster_Xx's Gaming Headquarters! Last Updated: November 23, 2003 ๐ŸŽฎ

๐ŸŽฎ ABOUT ME / INTRO ๐ŸŽฎ

skull-flame

Yo, fragheads! Welcome 2 my crib on the web!! I'm FragMaster (aka Chris in real life), and I live and breathe competitive FPS gaming. If ur reading this, ur probably a gamer urself, and u understand that there's nothing โ€” NOTHING โ€” more intense than the rush of a 1v5 clutch on Dust2 with the entire LAN cafe screaming behind u.

I've been gaming seriously since Counter-Strike 1.3 dropped in 2000, and I haven't looked back since. My life revolves around 4 things: landing headshots, crushing noobs, optimizing my PC 4 maximum FPS, and downing ice-cold Mountain Dew. GG no re, baby. That's my motto. That's my life.

The Stats That Matter:

Stat Value
Favorite Game Counter-Strike 1.6
Favorite Map de_dust2 (obviously)
Best Weapon AK-47 (spray control is key)
Favorite Clan [xX] Apex Predators
Current Rig CPU Pentium 4 3.2GHz (OC'd 2 3.8GHz)
Monitor Refresh 85 Hz (crucial 4 competitive edge)
Daily Dew Consumed 6-12 cans (depending on LAN schedule)

Why I'm Awesome (not 2 brag lol):

  • Been grinding Counter-Strike since high school โ€” my spray control is INSANE
  • Attended 8 LAN parties in 2003 alone โ€” got my name on trophy placards at 3 of them
  • Built my own gaming PC from scratch โ€” hand-picked every component 4 maximum performance
  • Overclocked my P4 from 3.2 GHz 2 3.8 GHz (stable 4 over a year now!!)
  • Know EVERY spray pattern, wall hack spot, and cheat code in the FPS universe
  • Can quote Linkin Park lyrics while 1v1ing โ€” multi-tasking at its finest
  • Mountain Dew blood type confirmed by local doctors (probably)

My dream? 2 go pro. The CPL (Cyberathlete Professional League) is calling my name, and I'm gonna answer. Mark my words โ€” in 5 years, u'll see "xX_FragMaster_Xx" on ESPN2. Actually, maybe not ESPN, but definitely on some gaming website somewhere. The point is, I'm legit.

โš”๏ธ COUNTER-STRIKE SHRINE โš”๏ธ

Counter-Strike is not just a game. It's a WAY OF LIFE. It's the perfect blend of strategy, reflexes, raw mechanical skill, and the sweet release of pure competitive domination. And I am OBSESSED.

My Favorite Weapons (RANKED):

  1. AK-47: The most satisfying weapon ever created. The spray pattern is a thing of beauty once u master it. 1 headshot = instant respect from ur teammates. This is the weapon of kings.
  2. Deagle (Desert Eagle): 1 shot, 1 kill. Nothing better than catching a rusher with a clean Deagle headshot. The damage falloff makes it harder 2 use than it looks, but when u land those shots... oh man.
  3. M4A1: CT-side perfection. Less spray 2 control than the AK, but the precision is unmatched. Perfect 4 holding sites and playing defensive positions.
  4. Awp: Some ppl hate it, but a good AWPer is worth their weight in gold. We call it the "golden gun." Problem is, it has the highest skill ceiling & I'm still learning the timing.
  5. Scout: Underrated. Super fun 4 anti-eco rounds. Quick scope headshots = instant adrenaline rush.

Best Maps Ranked by My Skill Level:

Map My Record Difficulty
de_dust2 26-4 (best game ever) Easy (for me) ๐Ÿ˜Ž
de_inferno 18-8 Medium
de_mirage 15-11 Medium-Hard
de_nuke 12-14 HARD (I suck here lol)
cs_assault 22-6 Easy (CT-sided map)

My Counter-Strike Manifesto:

> Aimbot is 4 noobs. Real skill > Hacks.
> Buy smart. Eco rounds matter. Team > Individuals.
> Comms are EVERYTHING. Call ur falls.
> Spray control takes 1000+ hours. Put in the work.
> One taps > spray. Timing > speed.
> Never peek alone. Never push 1v5.
> Mountain Dew = peak performance fuel.
> GG no re.

๐Ÿ† LAN PARTY ARCHIVE ๐Ÿ†

LAN parties r the closest thing 2 gaming heaven. No lag, everyone in the same room, the smell of energy drinks and sweat, and the sound of mechanical keyboards clacking in perfect synchronization. I've attended 8 major LANs in 2003 alone. Here r my highlights:

CPL 2003 Qualifier (Los Angeles) โ€” MARCH 2003

My Team's Placement: Semi-Finals (got knocked out by [eA] Echo Alliance ๐Ÿ˜ค)
My K/D Ratio: 14.2 (not bad, but I choked on de_nuke)
Highlight: Dropped 31 frags on de_dust2 against team [SK] in the group stage. That game was INSANE. The entire LAN cafe went silent during my 1v4 clutch. I can still hear the crowd cheering. That's when I knew I had what it took 2 play professionally.

SoCal Underground LAN (Orange County) โ€” JULY 2003

My Team's Placement: 1ST PLACE ๐Ÿ†
Prize Money: $450 (my share)
Highlight: Final match against [xX] Rogue Assassins. The tension was UNREAL. We won 16-14 on de_inferno in a overtime match that lasted 45 minutes. I got MVP with 28 frags. My mom drove me there, and she actually watched the entire tournament. Even SHE was impressed by my spray control. That was surreal.

Gamer's Paradise Expo (San Diego) โ€” SEPTEMBER 2003

My Team's Placement: 3RD PLACE (consolation bracket)
Highlight: Met some players from the pro CPL team SpawN. They watched one of my matches and said "not bad." SPAWN SAID "NOT BAD" ABOUT MY GAMEPLAY. That's the coolest thing that's ever happened 2 me.

Local LAN Cafe Tournaments (Monthly):

  • Game Zone LAN (Ontario): Won 3 out of 4 tournaments in 2003. $200+ in prize money.
  • Cyber Quest (Irvine): Runner-up 2 times. Close matches but I'll take the revenge next time.
  • Fragzone (Santa Ana): Where I learned 2 grind. Been going there since 2001. They know me by name now.

"The only thing better than winning is the connection 2 ur team. In 2004, I'm going 2 take us all the way 2 the CPL finals. We're getting better every single day."

โšก MY OVERCLOCKED RIG โšก

spinning-globe

This is where the magic happens. I built this beast from scratch, component by component, with one goal: MAX FPS 4 Counter-Strike. Every millisecond counts, and I squeezed out every last ounce of performance possible. Here's the breakdown:

System Specs (2003):

Component Model Notes
CPU Intel Pentium 4 3.2 GHz Overclocked 2 3.8 GHz (stable 4 13+ months)
Motherboard ASUS P4T533 Best overclocking board in its class
RAM 2x 512MB DDR-400 Mushkin Enhanced (excellent OC potential)
GPU NVIDIA GeForce 3 Ti 200 Can run CS at 120+ fps on medium settings
PSU Antec TruePower 430W High-efficiency, crucial 4 OC stability
Cooling Corsair H2O Cooler + 4x fans CPU temps stable @ 52ยฐC during gaming
Monitor 17" CRT @ 85 Hz 85 Hz refresh = zero screen tearing + smooth aiming
Mouse Logitech MX500 Best gaming mouse ever made. Period.
Keyboard IBM Model M (mechanical) Satisfying clicks + durability. This thing will outlive us all.

My Overclocking Journey:

When I first built this PC in early 2003, the stock P4 3.2 GHz was fine, but it wasn't ENOUGH. I watched some guides on overclock.net, did my research, and decided 2 push it. The key is:

  • Adequate Cooling: I invested in a quality water cooler. This is non-negotiable when you're pushing silicon 2 the limit.
  • Quality PSU: A cheap PSU will throttle ur overclock. U need headroom. I went with Antec 4 reliability.
  • Stable RAM: RAM makes or breaks ur clock speed. Mushkin is the way.
  • Patience: Prime95 stress testing 4 8+ hours. This is the difference between an OC that lasts and one that crashes mid-game.

Result: From 3.2 GHz โ†’ 3.8 GHz stable. That's a 19% performance increase in raw clock speed. In Counter-Strike, that translates 2 the difference between 90 fps and 120 fps. And every fps matters.

Gaming Performance:

Counter-Strike 1.6 @ 1024x768 (my competitive settings):
- Average FPS: 118-122
- Min FPS: 95 (even in smoke spam)
- Max FPS: 130+
- Ping: 8-15ms (local LAN)
- Latency: Almost non-existent

NEXT UPGRADE PLANNED: I'm saving up 4 a new GPU in Q4 2003. The GeForce4 Ti 4600 is supposed 2 be incredible. Might even push 4 another 200 MHz on the CPU if the thermals allow it. Gotta stay on the bleeding edge.

๐Ÿ”“ CHEAT CODES & CONSOLE COMMANDS ๐Ÿ”“

construction-cone UNDER CONSTRUCTION โ€” More codes coming SOON! construction-cone

Knowledge is power, baby. While I NEVER use these in competitive play (no cheating in real games โ€” that's 4 trash players), these r fun 4 offline practice and deathmatch warmups. Here r some of my fave CS console commands:

Competitive Console Commands (LEGAL in matches):

sv_cheats 0 (always OFF 4 real games)
rate 25000 (max network rate)
cl_cmdrate 100 (command rate = smoother movement)
cl_updaterate 101 (update rate = less lag)
fps_max 120 (lock FPS 4 consistency)
cl_bob 0 (disable weapon bob = cleaner aiming)
sensitivity 2.5 (my perfect mouse sensitivity)

Offline Practice / Deathmatch Commands (cheats = ON):

sv_cheats 1
god (god mode)
noclip (walk thru walls)
sv_infinite_ammo 1 (unlimited ammo)
ent_fire !picker kill (delete entity)
givecurrentammo (full ammo)
bot_add ct (add computer opponent)

IMPORTANT: Using cheats in ranked servers = INSTANT BAN. Don't be that guy. Hacks = skill-less garbage. Earn ur frags legit.

โญ OTHER GAME REVIEWS โญ

While Counter-Strike is my life, I dabble in other FPS games. Here's what I think:

Halo: Combat Evolved (2001)

Rating: โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜… (5/5)
This game is INCREDIBLE. Yeah, it's console-exclusive (which hurts, cuz I'm a PC snob), but the campaign is absolutely bonkers. The AI is smart, the weapons r satisfying, and Master Chief is a total badass. If Microsoft ever ports this 2 PC, I'm dropping everything. The multiplayer would destroy everyone. 10/10 would recommend.

Quake 3 Arena (1999)

Rating: โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜†โ˜† (3/5)
The OG arena shooter. The mechanics r solid and the movement speed is insane. Problem is, by 2003, it feels dated. The railgun takes no skill โ€” just camp and spam. CS has way better strategic depth. Still a legend tho.

Unreal Tournament 2003

Rating: โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜† (4/5)
Fast-paced, crazy-colorful, and honestly pretty fun. The Flak Cannon is a blast 2 use. Weapon pickup-based gameplay is different from CS economy system. Not competitive enough 4 my taste, but solid deathmatch game.

StarCraft (1998)

Rating: โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜… (5/5)
This is THE RTS. Not an FPS, but the competitive depth is INSANE. I play occasionally when I need a break from twitch shooters. The Koreans are taking over StarCraft pro scene & it's incredible 2 watch.

Just got back from San Diego LAN. 3rd place finish is respectable, but I'm kicking myself cuz we should've won it all. Made some dumb map picks & our anti-ecos didn't work out. But hey, I met some pro players & they gave me some tips on demo review. Gonna watch that footage a million times 2 get better. There's always next tournament ๐Ÿ’ช
